A day trip to Koh Lan Pattaya

A day trip to Koh Lan Pattaya My family came to visit me in Thailand a couple of months ago and after doing all the usual things, including the eating of copious amounts of delicious Thai food, temple visits and shopping I ran out of ideas for their penultimate day in Pattaya.

My wife came up with the idea of a day trip to Koh Lan, just off Pattaya. This is not far from where we live so we decided to go for it, so a quick drive down to Bali Hai pier and onto the ferry boat and we made our way across the bay. Upon landing with what seemed to be thousands of other tourists I really had my doubts about us having a good day relaxing on the beach. It was packed! My wife saw the look on my face and smiled then said follow me. We did just that and we walked for around 10 mins, turned a corner and then there it was Paradise. A beautiful quiet beach with white sand and clear blue water.

I have attached a few pictures that I took on that day just to remember a great day with my family in Thailand. They of course will be coming again next year.

Ko Lan (Thai: เกาะล้าน, pronounced [kɔ̀ʔ láːn]) is one of the eastern seaboard islands of Thailand. Ko Lan lies 7.5 km from the nearest shore, Pattaya. “Ko Lan” is the name of the island in the Royal Thai General System of Transcription. It is also known as “Koh Larn”. Koh Lan Pattaya.
