Thailand Tourists

Thailand Tourists. Tired of getting the same boring old tips and advice on where to go when you visit Thailand? Well, a new app called Destination Thailand hopes to be just what you need.

Destination Thailand, developed by Capital Television Group and Destination Thailand News, as well as Singapore-based Talisman Telecom Group, is a new travel app designed to help farangs who visit the kingdom.

Released late last month, the app is said to provide expats and tourists alike with the latest information on what’s going on and what’s interesting in Thailand. It offers a wide range of original video content, and useful information on travel and lifestyle.

Capital TV Director Raine Grady says that “people want to know what’s new, what’s happening on the food and entertainment scenes, where they can take their children along with tips on art, culture, music, and other interesting events that only a real insider can deliver on one complete app instead of having to visit numerous websites.”

Capital TV has been capturing video footage of destinations in Thailand since 1995, and has collected over 5,000 hours of video footage. Now, all of that content can be yours too, for free.

Regarding the app’s creation, Founder and CEO of Destination Thailand Stephen Morton says that, “many start-up app companies have difficulty in securing relevant content, but fortunately for us, that is not the case.”

The company Destination Thailand itself is already well-known for providing news on tourism, travel, lifestyle, events, and other activities on its website, as well as producing the most watched travel series in English with Thai subtitles.

With more and more people nowadays turning away from traditional TV and switching to online media, Morton expects that the new app will dominate its category in 8 to 12 months, reported Bangkok Post.

The app can be downloaded for free on both Android and iOS. It has multi-language capability, and plans to introduce a Chinese option on the app next year.
